WHO WE ARE
Partnering to build and support bright and capable young people.
Tujiendeleze Youth Trust Fund (TYTF) was started in late 2007 and is a registered Trust in Kenya. It was started by a group of four community workers who saw the ability and potential of young people who were engaged in community work but did not have formal training.
The purpose of the Trust is to support bright and capable young people, who are already active in Community Development but in need of financial assistance, to pursue their dreams of entering higher education and subsequently making a greater impact on the field of community development as they become trained, skilled and employed professionals.
WHAT WE DO
01.
— Community Development
TYTF has, so far, supported a total of twenty eight young people who have undertaken courses in Community Development. Of these, sixteen are females and twelve are males; all come from various informal settlements in Kenya.
02.
— Vocational Courses
TYTF acknowledge that so many of our young people contribute to the development of the community through technical skills, as such we have partnered with Mukuru Slums Development Project under their training project – Mukuru Skills Training Center located in Mukuru Lunga Lunga, where they offer one year training courses.
03.
— Training and Mentorship
Apart from the partial sponsorship, TYTF also provide the students with ongoing mentoring and trainings on soft skills that help them stand out and bring more impact to the community they work with.
